Spain, Pamplona – every year between 6-14 in July a bull running take place. It’s happening in other places as well but Pamplona is the most famous one. The run starts at 8 am, three rockets are being released; the firs to alert the runners, the second to signal all the bulls have been released (six bulls) and the last one to let everyone know the event is over for that day. The run usually takes approximately two minutes and 30 seconds.
France, 14 July - Bastille Day is a national holiday in France. In Paris, a military parade is being held, as well as live music performances, dancing in the streets and fireworks shows. The streets are filed with people who wants to celebrate.
ITALY, Pisa – 16-17 in July the feast of Saint Ranieri. More than 70,000 candles are lit in honour of the city’s patron, Saint Ranieri. The candles illuminate beautifully building and bridges across town. At the end of the first day, there is a fireworks show and the next day a medieval boat race.
Switzerland, Nyon, Paléo Festival, 18-23 in July – One of the biggest music festival in Europe, set in a town called Nyon, between Geneva and Lausanne. Bring your swimsuits! It’s near lake Leman. Car sharing is the perfect way to travel there. This music celebration offers 250 concerts and shows to 230,000 music lovers.
United Kingdom, Huntingdon, Secret Garden Party. 20-23 in July. An underground independent art and music festival. Includes unique and fresh activities similar to Burning Man. It might be British but it’s certainly not conservative. Take a look:
Belgium, Boom, Tomorrowland. 21-23 and 28-30 in July. If you love electronic dance music, you know that Tomorrowland is the festival for you. This year’s line-up includes some of the best electronic dance music artist like Tiesto, Alison Wonderland, David Guetta and Armin van Buuren.
Paris in July – missing the beach fun? Good news, Paris transforming some of its Seine’s roads to beach like resorts. Including sandboxes, deck chairs and umbrellas for rent, live music and beach sports. Pack up your swimwear and get a nice vacation tan.
